Brief summary and personal reflection on the story
Year 2004 was the first time that I read this book. I was only 12and was too young to understand the message of the book. At that time, a book was only for fun, not for messages that was educational. Thus, it was so obvious that the book seemed boring. Today, as a vacation homework, I started to read the book. This time, not for fun, but for educational message. The book was different this time.

Mitch Alborn, a sports columnist as well as a workaholic, one night saw his old teacher, Morrie Schwartz on a talk show. Morrie Schwartz was a professor of Brandise university. To Mitch Alborn, Morrie was more then a teacher. He was his life mento to Mitch Alborn. They had a close relationship sharing their thoughts and meaningful messages. Unfortunately, Morrie was suffering because of Lou Gehrig's disease, a disease that causes muscle weakness and blocks the messages from the brain to the muscle. As the muscle stops functioning, it slowly weakens.
Hearing the situation of his teacher, Alborn Schwartz decides to visit his teacher. When Alborn Schwartz arrived at his teachers house, he was greeted with cheer. That day, they talked a lot and Alborn promised to visit him every tuesday. Every week, they talked about lot's of topics and had a fantastic time.
What Morrie thought most important was love. Every time he told Alborn schwartz to love each other or to die. Morrie was really different then other people. In the book he has said that things such as money, cars, fancy apartments are nothing in front of death meaning that it will be all gone when we die. I believe that the view of Morrie is true but is also curious if Morrie himself was able to give up those things because it was actually nothing. I my self believes that GOD is the most important thing in life as well as in after life. However, finds it hard to give up those things.
Sadly, Morrie passes away in 1995 leaving an image of peace and warmth. Personally, it was a great chance to look and to think of my own life. Those talks between Morrie and Alborn Schwartz really mad me think a lot. Also, I had a thought that it would be good to read again. I think that the message of the book would appear differently.
